Comox Valley’s Facial or Hollywood’s Facial?
Why the Forma is the most popular facial in Courtenay, BC and on red carpets.
If you’ve ever wished for a facial that actually delivers visible tightening and lift—without peeling, flaking or that requires days of hiding out at home—meet Forma.
At Clinic 5 Collective in Courtenay, BC, the Forma Facial is one of our favourite “non-fluff” facials because it works beneath the surface while still feeling relaxing in the moment. Forma is a non-invasive thermal skin rejuvenation treatment designed to stimulate new collagen and improve skin elasticity, creating a firmer and more plumped look—often with an immediate post-treatment radiance.
That immediate glow is the reason you’ll hear Forma referred to as Hollywood’s non-surgical facelift. It lifts and tightens, with no real downtime, making it the go-to facial ahead of date nights in the Comox Valley or red carpet events in Hollywood. Forma has cracked the code in making the skin look noticeably better now, not after two weeks of peeling and recovery.
What is the Forma facial?
A Forma Facial uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to gently heat targeted layers of the skin. In a controlled, consistent way, that warmth encourages fibroblast activity (your collagen-building cells) and supports collagen remodeling—one of the key reasons skin can start to look firmer and more toned over time. Think of it like a workout for your skin’s supportive structure, without needles, without peeling, and without needing to plan your life around downtime.
Forma uses ACE technology (Acquire, Control, Extend), designed to keep the radiofrequency energy steady and even through the skin for consistent treatment and comfort.
Acquire: reads skin temperature in real time
Control: keeps energy consistent and safe
Extend: maintains therapeutic warmth so you get results without the “too hot” moment
Does the Forma facial hurt?
Typically you can have a relaxing facial or a facial that actually delivers results—but the Forma Facial is one of the few hard-working facials that is actually enjoyable. Most clients compare the feeling of Forma to a hot stone massage. The adjustable settings of this device allows your laser technician to reduce the heat for more sensitive areas of the face, such as around the eyes. All in all, this is the facial that we recommend for our clients who are too nervous for aggressive facials, but want noticeable results.
Does the Forma facial really work?
Forma is especially helpful when you’re noticing the early (or not-so-early) signs that skin is losing some of its bounce. Forma is proven to address the following common skin concerns:
Skin laxity (a “less snatched” jawline, softer cheeks, mild sagging)
Fine lines and overall crepey textureLoss of firmness in the face and neck
Dullness (that tired, flat look that makeup can’t fully fix)
Overall tone and texture that just needs a reset
What is the downtime after Forma?
One of the biggest reasons Forma is a favourite facial in Courtenay, BC is the downtime—or lack of it. After your treatment, you may notice minor redness, but mostly you’ll notice a slightly “flushed” glow and skin that instantly feels tight and hydrated. You can return to normal activities right away and even wear makeup. That’s why Forma is so popular as a before a date/event facial in the Comox Valley (and in Hollywood).
How many Forma facials do I need?
After just one session, many people notice an immediate improvement in how their skin looks and feels (plump, radiant and glowy). That’s exactly why a single Forma facial is so popular leading up to an event, family photos, etc. That said, a series of treatments is always best for optimal results. Since the Forma stimulates collagen production, we typically recommend 6 sessions, once per week for 6 weeks, to support more significant improvements in collagen and elasticity.
How much does a Forma facial cost?
The Forma facial treatment ranges in cost based on location and treatment area, however, it typically costs between $150 to $500 per session. At Clinic 5 Collective, we have two Forma options:
Full Face (50 minutes) - $190.00
Face & Neck (85 minutes) - $250.00
If you are interested in treatment series pricing, please contact our team.
Who should NOT get a Forma facial?
As with any treatment, safety matters. Forma may not be suitable if you are under 18, pregnant or nursing, have an impaired immune system, or have a history of skin disorders. Your provider will guide you based on your health history and skin at the time of treatment. If you’re unsure, we encourage you to book a consultation. At Clinic 5 Collective, we’d always rather customize the right plan than push a “one size fits all” facial.
